    Target November Beauty Box

Again, I know I am super late on posting this review, but here goes nothing! I am almost all done getting caught up on everything that I was behind on and I think I just have one more thing to post after this one!

The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase monthly box that includes deluxe and full sized beauty products that you can find at Target and of course other retailers.

Here is a BREAKDOWN of the NOVEMBER goodies:

    1. L’Oreal Advanced HairCare Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo – Value 1.7oz = $0.50

This shampoo varies in price depending on which size bottle you buy. There is a 12.6oz bottle for $3.52 or a 25.4oz bottle for $4.59. This rich formula permeates and expands every strand to make hair look and feel twice as thick. I have very thin hair and I am always looking for ways to achieve that thicker hair look, but unfortunately shampoos just don’t do it for me. This shampoo smelled nice and was easy on the hair, but I just didn’t get a “fuller” vibe from it.

    2. Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream – Value = $5.88

The full size, 1.7oz jar retails for $24.99. This cream helps to nourish, tighten, and revive skin. I really like the way this made my face feel after putting it on in the morning. I felt like my face wasn’t dry despite the weather outside! The only thing I didn’t like was the scent was very overwhelming. It was too fragrant for my liking and honestly would prevent me from buying it in the future.

    3. Hask Keratin Protein Soothing Deep Conditioner – Value = $1.99

This deep conditioner helps to repair damaged, over-processed hair while reducing breakage and static. This product was great but I just don’t really have the time to sit and wait for a conditioner to set for 10 minutes. This was great as a sample size, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Plus my hair isn’t really damaged so I don’t have a constant need for deep conditioner.

    4. Laneige Water Bank Soothing Mask Value for 1 = $4.80

A box of 5 masks retails for $24. A non-slip sheet mask infused with hydro-ionized mineral water that delivers intense moisture while soothing skin. I LOVE this mask! It wasn’t too goopy when I took it out of the package like some masks are. It left my skin feeling rejuvenated!

    5. W3LL People Bio Brightener Stick – Value = $ unsure

I actually couldn’t find this product on Target’s website when I went back to look, but I found it on Anthropologie for $24. This illuminating cream creates an instant glow with premium natural ingredients and organic botanicals.

    6. L’Oreal Voluminous Primer Value = $5.99

This is a lightweight primer that enhances mascara, helping it to go on smoothly for visibly longer, thicker lashes. I recently bought myself the Opening Act from Tarte, so when this came in my box, I was curious to see if there was a difference. While this one from Target is a whole lot cheaper, I didn’t see any other differences. The L’Oreal primer made my lashes look a bit fuller, but I’m not sure if it made them look any longer. Since I felt that both products did pretty much the same thing, I would continue to buy the L’Oreal primer since it is a better price and it’s always good to have that one drugstore product in your makeup bag!

    7. Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner – Value = $9.99

A retractable, waterproof pencil that keeps lines neat all day long! This is my go-to liner and I love that it has the little smudger on the other end! I got black liner in my box which is a staple in my makeup bag and something that I use everyday. I’m glad that I got something in the box that I use on a daily basis because now I don’t have to go buy a new one! 😉

    THE VALUE

The value of this September Beauty Box is about $29.15 without the W3LL People product. Since you only pay $10.00 plus shipping (mine was free + 5% off since I have a Target Debit Card) this is a great deal! For this particular box, it had 3 full size items and the rest deluxe size which is perfect for trying out a new product that you may not normally buy.

I think this box is a great deal and I love trying new products every month! I can’t wait for my December box to come!

    XOXO

  • Makeup Monday: Masks

    Makeup Monday: Masks

Here’s the deal…I’m not very good with makeup nor do I have a beauty routine. You’d think that being in my early/mid twenties that I would have come up with something by now, but I haven’t. So here I am giving y’all a Makeup Monday post!

I am super curious about face masks and how they make my face feel after using them!

I recently got a sample from Sephora with a purchase I made so I decided to try it out last night.

It was GLAM GLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment.

My sample size was perfect for 1 use, so after washing my face last night, I applied a thin layer to my face all over.

Here is what it looked like before being applied to my face

I let it sit for about 5 min before I rinsed it off. The first thing I noticed while it dried on my face was that it was very stiff and I couldn’t move my face all that much.

I know, I look so cute with my Snap Chat filter

Here’s the deal with it according to Sephora.com:
Which skin type is it good for?
    ✔ Normal
    ✔ Oily
    ✔ Combination

    Solutions for:
    ✔ Acne and blemishes
    ✔ Pores
    ✔ Oiliness

If you want to know more…
This formula was clinically developed by GLAMGLOW dermatological chemists to help fight all common skin concerns including breakouts, discoloration, black and white heads, razor bumps, and in-grown hair. Powerful, skin-clearing mud visibly draws out dirt and congestion while a proprietary six-acid blend dramatically brightens and softens skin. It works to draw out dirt and pores with activated-X charcoal, leaving skin smooth and healthy-looking.

So now here is my CONSCLUSION…After washing it off of my face, I felt that my skin was tight and smooth, but I think that it would take more than one use to determine if it was worth buying (although when I woke up this morning, I noticed that the flock of pimples on my right cheek was no longer red!). The full size retails for $69 which is kind of a lot in my book for a facial mask. I think that I’ll keep searching for one that gives me the same/better effects than this one did but at a lower price.

I want to know if any of you have a mask you love to use! I’m always looking to try new products!

    XOXO
