    Target Beauty Box: June

The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase monthly box that includes deluxe and full sized beauty products that you can find at Target and of course other retailers.

The box varies in price from $7-$10 so it’s relatively inexpensive to purchase a box. I like that you can choose every month if you want to buy the box or not since it’s not an actual subscription.

    BREAKDOWN OF THE JUNE GOODIES:

    1. Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport Sunscreen – Value for 2 oz = $2.25

The full size 8oz bottle retails for $8.99.  Lightweight, breathable formula offers 12-hour hydration and SPF 30 broad spectrum protection. I’m going on my first vacation of the summer this weekend so I can’t wait to try this out. I’m a huge fan of Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen, so I know this product will be great as well!

    1. Jon Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Salt Spray – Value for 1 oz = $2.99

You can buy this travel size or the full 5 oz bottle for $8.99. Non-drying formula texturizes hair for a tousled look, windswept waves or piece-y perfection. I CAN’T stand getting this product in my boxes!!! This product doesn’t work on my hair and I end up getting rid of this spray every time I get it.

    1. Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Clad in Plaid – Value for 0.5 oz = $1.99

This is a full size item! Highly pigmented nail color dries quickly and has a smooth, satin finish. This is a super fun looking red color. Perfect for summer time. I can’t wait to use it and see how it looks on my nails!

    1. Masque Bar Soothing Sheet MaskValue for 1 count = $3.49

Skin-moisturizing sheet mask helps hydrate and soothe skin for a healthy-looking complexion. While I love masks, I’m not a huge fan of sheet masks. I think that my face is too small or something because the mask is always WAY too big on my face!

    1. Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Treatment– Value for 1.7oz = $0.53

An 8oz bottle retails for $2.97 and the 16oz bottle retails for $4.99. Conditioning treatment transforms dry hair into silky, shiny waves with Australian aloe, jojoba and sea kelp. I actually just used this and was pretty impressed with the product. I don’t normally use deep conditioners, but since I went a little blonder my last hair appointment, I figured my hair could use a little lovin. My hair felt great after using it and it looks a lot healthier!

    1. Schick Hydro Silk Women’s RazorValue for 1 = $8.99

5 curve-sensing blades with concentrated serum and shea butter moisturizer for up to 12 hours after shaving. Perfect! I needed a new razor! I really like this razor but I’m not too picky when it comes to my razors, as long as they’re not the cheapy, throw in the trash the next day kind, then I’m good.

    1. NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer in Medium– Value = $5.99

Coconut oil-infused, waterproof concealer blends to hide imperfections without creasing or caking. I wasn’t really a fan of this or the brand. There are very few NYX products that I like to use, but this isn’t one of them. I’m very particular about my concealer since I tend to break out easily so I stick to one brand and one brand only.

    THE VALUE

The value of this June Beauty Box is about $26.23. Since this box was only $7 plus shipping (mine was free shipping + 5% off since I have a Target Debit Card) this is a great deal! For this particular box, I felt that the value this month was really good since it had 4 full size items and the rest travel size. This is perfect for trying out a new product that you may not normally buy.

I think this box is a great deal and I love trying new products every month! I can’t wait to order the July box!

  • Target November Beauty Box

    Target November Beauty Box

Again, I know I am super late on posting this review, but here goes nothing! I am almost all done getting caught up on everything that I was behind on and I think I just have one more thing to post after this one!

The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase monthly box that includes deluxe and full sized beauty products that you can find at Target and of course other retailers.

Here is a BREAKDOWN of the NOVEMBER goodies:

    1. L’Oreal Advanced HairCare Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo – Value 1.7oz = $0.50

This shampoo varies in price depending on which size bottle you buy. There is a 12.6oz bottle for $3.52 or a 25.4oz bottle for $4.59. This rich formula permeates and expands every strand to make hair look and feel twice as thick. I have very thin hair and I am always looking for ways to achieve that thicker hair look, but unfortunately shampoos just don’t do it for me. This shampoo smelled nice and was easy on the hair, but I just didn’t get a “fuller” vibe from it.

    2. Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream – Value = $5.88

The full size, 1.7oz jar retails for $24.99. This cream helps to nourish, tighten, and revive skin. I really like the way this made my face feel after putting it on in the morning. I felt like my face wasn’t dry despite the weather outside! The only thing I didn’t like was the scent was very overwhelming. It was too fragrant for my liking and honestly would prevent me from buying it in the future.

    3. Hask Keratin Protein Soothing Deep Conditioner – Value = $1.99

This deep conditioner helps to repair damaged, over-processed hair while reducing breakage and static. This product was great but I just don’t really have the time to sit and wait for a conditioner to set for 10 minutes. This was great as a sample size, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Plus my hair isn’t really damaged so I don’t have a constant need for deep conditioner.

    4. Laneige Water Bank Soothing Mask Value for 1 = $4.80

A box of 5 masks retails for $24. A non-slip sheet mask infused with hydro-ionized mineral water that delivers intense moisture while soothing skin. I LOVE this mask! It wasn’t too goopy when I took it out of the package like some masks are. It left my skin feeling rejuvenated!

    5. W3LL People Bio Brightener Stick – Value = $ unsure

I actually couldn’t find this product on Target’s website when I went back to look, but I found it on Anthropologie for $24. This illuminating cream creates an instant glow with premium natural ingredients and organic botanicals.

    6. L’Oreal Voluminous Primer Value = $5.99

This is a lightweight primer that enhances mascara, helping it to go on smoothly for visibly longer, thicker lashes. I recently bought myself the Opening Act from Tarte, so when this came in my box, I was curious to see if there was a difference. While this one from Target is a whole lot cheaper, I didn’t see any other differences. The L’Oreal primer made my lashes look a bit fuller, but I’m not sure if it made them look any longer. Since I felt that both products did pretty much the same thing, I would continue to buy the L’Oreal primer since it is a better price and it’s always good to have that one drugstore product in your makeup bag!

    7. Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner – Value = $9.99

A retractable, waterproof pencil that keeps lines neat all day long! This is my go-to liner and I love that it has the little smudger on the other end! I got black liner in my box which is a staple in my makeup bag and something that I use everyday. I’m glad that I got something in the box that I use on a daily basis because now I don’t have to go buy a new one! 😉

    THE VALUE

The value of this September Beauty Box is about $29.15 without the W3LL People product. Since you only pay $10.00 plus shipping (mine was free + 5% off since I have a Target Debit Card) this is a great deal! For this particular box, it had 3 full size items and the rest deluxe size which is perfect for trying out a new product that you may not normally buy.

I think this box is a great deal and I love trying new products every month! I can’t wait for my December box to come!

  • Target September Beauty Box

    Target September Beauty Box

I’ve seen these boxes for sale online at Target before, but never had the chance to purchase one as they sell out very quickly! I got lucky this time and was able to snag one (my mom was not so lucky and didn’t get one).

The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase monthly box that includes deluxe and full sized beauty products that you can find at Target and of course other retailers.

Here is what came in the September Box

Here is a BREAKDOWN of the goodies:

    1. Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream – Value = $12.80

This cream retails for $32 for a full size jar. This is a hydro-ionized mineral water and Biogen technology that strengthens skin and provides 24 hours of continuous hydration. I used this at night after washing my face and putting a serum on. I felt that it left my face feeling a little greasy (for lack of better word) but since I was going to bed, it didn’t matter. I think that it did make my face feel a little softer, but since my mom has been wanting to try this out forever, I let her have this item. I honestly can’t imagine me or my mom buying the full size jar for $32, which is unfortunate because I liked it enough to use again.

    2. Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in – Value = $6.99

This is an all-in-one lipstick that goes on effortlessly for the perfect balance of high-impact color, moisture and all-day wear. To be completely honest, I’m not much of a lipstick gal so I don’t think I’ll be using this product. The color seemed nice and not too bright. it glided on smooth like chapstick and didn’t leave that sticky feeling that a lip gloss does.

Here is is swatched on my wrist

    3. S.W. Basics Organic Lip Balm in Citrus – Value = $5.00

Made with all-natural organic ingredients to moisturize and heal lips without leaving a sticky, waxy feeling. I have never heard of this brand before so I am glad that I was able to try it out! It glided on smoothly and definitely didn’t leave that sticky feeling that a lot of chapsticks tend to do. I received the citrus flavor and it felt refreshing on my lips. I am normally a Burt’s Bees wearer, and I probably will continue to be since I can usually find them for about $3.00 at places like Nordstrom Rack. $5.00 is kind of a lot for me to spend on 1 chapstick alone.

    4. EDEN BodyWorks JojOba Deep Conditioner – Value = $1.00

The full size 16oz jar retails for $8.59. All-natural botanical formula restores and strengthens over-processed or damaged hair. This product is paraben and sulfate free! I haven’t had time to use this product yet, but after opening the pouch, I found the product to be thick. Since I have pretty fine hair, I think that I can get quite a few uses out of this sample bag. I regularly get my hair colored and highlighted so I can’t wait to try this out as the bleach tends to make my hair break easier.

    5. OGX Renewing Coconut Milk Conditioner – Value = $1.00

This product has a price range of $5.79 – $10.99 depending on if you buy the 13 oz or 25.4 oz bottle. Lightly scented, creamy coconut milk formula helps to strengthen hair while leaving it soft & shiny. This conditioner smells SOO good!! I went out of town this weekend and packed this in my overnight bag and am so glad that I did. It left my hair feeling silky and soft to the touch as well as smelling great all day! I will most definitely be purchasing this in the full size very soon.

    6. Biore Baking Soda Cleanser – Value = $1.00

A full size bottle of this retails for $5.99. Made with baking soda and pH balanced to gently exfoliate and deep-clean pores. I also took this on my little weekend getaway and I liked the way my face felt after washing it with this. I felt like my face felt clean and refreshed. I would love to buy this in the full size and use it on a regular basis.

    7. Maybelline The Fasies Push Up Drama Mascara – Value = $7.49

Innovative cup-shaped bristles scoop, lift and volumize lashes for an ultra-dramatic look in just one sweep. This is my mom’s absolute favorite mascara, so being a good daughter, I gave it to her! Let me tell you though, she has super thin/short eyelashes and after she puts this on, it looks like she has long lashes. It doesn’t quite give the false eyelash look shown on the package, but she likes that it doesn’t clump up when applying and it lasts a long time even when using it every day.

    THE VALUE

The value of this September Beauty Box is about $35.28. Since you only pay $10.00 plus shipping (mine was free + 5% off since I have a Target Debit Card) this is a great deal! For this particular box, it had 3 full size items and the rest deluxe size which is perfect for trying out a new product that you may not normally buy.

I think this box is a great deal and I’m bummed I haven’t tried it out sooner! I can definitely say that I will be purchasing this box again in the future as long as it is not sold out!

    XOXO
